1953-54 South Kitsap Wolves Football

Head Coach Stener Kvinsland

League Record: 6-0, Olympic League Champions
Overall Record: 8-0, Ranked #3 In State

In 1953, Pasco was ranked #1, Olympia #2, and South Kitsap #3 in the final Associated Press rankings. Pasco was an obvious selection by an informal commitee to compete for the unofficial Washington state championship held in Seattle on Thanksgiving day. By a slim margin, the Bears from Thurston County were chosen over the Wolves from Port Orchard to match up versus the Bulldogs from Pasco for the (then) mythical state title. Olympia beat Pasco to claim the 1953 AP title.
